70m. Diving rules

Regulations:
Rules for recreational diving:
1. OWD Diver certificate or more advanced certificate is required.
2. Diving experience of at least 30 dives, at least two of which within two months preceding wreck diving.
3. Air diving is limited to the depth of 30 metres. For deeper diving at least Advanced Nitrox Diver (PN2) certificate is required as well as appropriate nitrox mixtures. Nitrox diving is limited to 39 metres.
4. Limited decompression diving is allowed only to divers with Advanced Nitrox Diver certificate. Limited decompression cannot exceed 15 minutes or 15 metres. Divers without the aforementioned qualifications can dive within non-decompression limits
5. At the depth of the wreck the maximum oxygen partial pressure cannot exceed the value of 1.4 ATA.
6. Divers must hold the Wreck diver certificate or its equivalent.
7. Required are: at least one spool/spinning wheel with a signal buoy. For dives which may end after sundown we require at least two light sources or one light source with chemical light.
8. Diving should be performed in accordance with the qualifications.
9. Confined water dives must be performed with an appropriate supply of escape gas.
10. In the case of trainee diving, the instructor has to fully supervise the trainee. The trainee-instructor relationship cannot be higher than 2:1 during any dive deeper than 30 metres, 3:1 below 20 metres and 4:1 at the depth of up to 20 metres unless the organizational standards are more conservative.
11. Leaving water with a gas supply below 35 bar without any justification is construed as extreme lack of responsibility and may result in a fine or a ban on entering the diving base in the future. An analogous situation in the case of a trainee results in the abovementioned ramifications for the instructor along with a letter to the federation about what occurred.

Regulations for technical diving:
We require the Technical Certificate (E standards for technical diving):

1. Required is the Technical (Extended Range) Diver Certificate or more advanced.
2. At least 5 technical dives have to be documented within 2 months preceding technical wreck diving.
3. The depth of air diving is limited to 30 metres. For deeper diving we require at least the Normoxic (entry Level) Trimix certificate as well as appropriate Trimix mixtures.
4. The END of appropriate Trimix mixtures cannot exceed 30 metres. Using standardized mixtures is strongly advised.
5. The maximum oxygen partial pressure for decompression phase is 1.6 ATA. As for the bottom phase oxygen partial pressure in an appropriate mixture cannot exceed the value of 1.4 ATA at the depth of the wreck.
6. In the case of wrecks lying below 30 metres we require a technical wreck certificate.
7. We require at least one spool/spinning wheel with a signal buoy and a light source. For dives which may end after sundown, we require at least two light sources or one light source with chemical light.
8. Every dive needs a written agenda. The boat service staff may call for agenda verification and may in certain circumstances deny permission to dive bearing in mind the diver’s experience, gas supply, weather conditions and underwater conditions.
9. Diving should be performed in accordance with the qualifications. Diving below 59 metres or diving with hypoxic Trimix mixtures requires Trimix Diver qualifications.
10. Confined water dives must be performed with an appropriate supply of escape gas.
11. In the case of trainee diving, the instructor has to fully supervise the trainee. The trainee-instructor relationship cannot be higher than 2:1 during any dive deeper than 30 metres.

General procedures:
· Deep air diving is forbidden
· Diving alone is forbidden (regardless of qualifications)
· From underwater you may only take your diving partner, photographs
